Storage and Consolidation Policy

Last updated: 12 September 2026

1. What this policy covers

TroveHall buys items on your behalf and receives them at our warehouse in Guangdong, China. This policy explains how long we hold your items, what storage costs, how consolidation works, and what happens if items are left with us. It forms part of our Terms of Service.

2. Free storage — 90 days

We store your items free of charge for 90 days, starting on the day each parcel is received and recorded at our warehouse. You can see the arrival date and the days remaining for every item in your account.

3. Consolidation

You can combine items from different orders into a single parcel to reduce international shipping costs. You can request consolidation at any time during the storage period. Storage for a parcel ends when it is packed and dispatched.

4. Storage fees after 90 days

From day 91, storage is charged at 0.10 CNY (Chinese yuan) per parcel per day, up to day 180. Chargeable days are the days beyond the first 90.

The fee is calculated when you submit your shipping request and is shown in your shipping quote. It is payable together with the international shipping fee, before we dispatch.

Example: one parcel stored for 100 days = (100 − 90) × 0.10 = 1.00 CNY.

5. Reminders before the deadline

We email you at the address on your account:

  • day 90 — free storage has ended and storage fees have started;
  • day 150 — 30 days remain before the maximum storage period;
  • day 173 — 7 days remain.

If your contact details are out of date you may not receive these messages, so please keep your account email current.

6. Maximum storage — 180 days

We hold items for a maximum of 180 days from the date of receipt.

7. Items left beyond 180 days

If your items are still with us after 180 days and we have received neither a shipping request nor any response from you, we will treat them as abandoned. We will send a final notice to your account email before this happens. Abandoned items may be disposed of at our discretion. Where the law requires it, or where the value of the items is significant, we will try to agree an alternative with you first.

8. Our responsibility while items are in our warehouse

When an item arrives we check its appearance, quantity and obvious defects, and send you photographs. Our inspection does not include testing the function of electronics, or verifying authenticity, unless you ask us to and we agree.

From the moment an item passes intake inspection and is recorded in your account, we are responsible for its safekeeping in our warehouse. If an item is lost or damaged in our warehouse through our fault, we will compensate you for the amount you paid for that item.

9. Risk after dispatch

Once a parcel leaves our warehouse, risk passes to you as the importer of record. Transit cover is described in our Terms of Service. Customs decisions in your country — including detention, confiscation or destruction — are outside our control.
